The Pediatric Concussion Center at Cohen Children's Medical Center provides multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment for the full range of post-concussive symptoms in children with all severities of traumatic brain injury. Evaluation includes a neurological exam, with head CT or MRI only when warranted, and recovery follows a stepwise process of rest, return to school, and return to play. Specialists coordinate school accommodations and communicate with athletic teams so children heal fully before resuming activity.
