Guthrie Concussion Program

About

The Guthrie Concussion Program uses ImPACT computerized neurocognitive testing to help diagnose concussion in athletes, comparing post-injury results against prior baseline testing. A physical exam is done and brain imaging such as MRI or CT is ordered when needed, after which the team advises on rest, activity restriction, symptom-relieving medication, and safe timing for return to normal activities. Services are offered at locations including Corning, with certified athletic trainers supporting local high school athletes.
