Catholic Health's ThinkSMART! Concussion Management Program at St. Charles Hospital is a Long Island resource for evaluating and treating concussion, offering a continuum of care from injury through recovery and safe return to sport for student athletes and others at risk. The program combines concussion education, ImPACT baseline neurocognitive testing for contact-sport athletes, and evaluation by ImPACT-certified physicians with specialty concussion training, testing balance, vision, reaction time, motor speed, and memory. Sports physical therapists then guide a supervised, graded return-to-play progression.
