The Iowa Clinic's vestibular therapy program treats concussion along with vestibular migraine, vertigo, and other balance disorders through physical therapy. After identifying the cause of a patient's symptoms and assessing balance, gait, strength, and flexibility, therapists use balance and gaze-stabilization exercises, posture education, and repositioning maneuvers. Treatment plans generally last four to eight weeks with visits once or twice weekly.
