The MedStar Health Concussion Clinic evaluates and manages mild traumatic brain injury from sports, falls, work incidents and motor vehicle crashes. A visit typically includes a physician assessment with neurologic examination, balance testing, neuropsychological assessment and medication review. Based on findings, the physician may add vestibular and physical therapy, occupational therapy for visual retraining and driving, or speech-language cognitive therapy, along with school, work and return-to-play recommendations. Baseline testing is offered on request.
