Hendricks Regional Health's sports medicine team offers concussion management for athletes and others who have sustained a head injury, urging prompt evaluation and close monitoring of symptoms. The program pairs a comprehensive clinical exam with ImPACT neurocognitive testing, which is used across all the high schools it serves to establish baseline memory, attention, processing speed, and reaction time and to guide safe return to play after a concussion. Concussion services in Avon are provided by physicians including Dr. Booher and Dr. Ritchie.
