Powell Valley Healthcare runs a sports concussion management program that educates athletes, coaches, and parents on preventing, recognizing, and treating head injuries. It provides ImPACT neurocognitive baseline testing free to local athletes, using it to help evaluate injuries and guide a safe return to play, and particularly encourages football, wrestling, and soccer participants to complete a baseline. Powell Valley also supplies athletic trainer coverage to Northwest College and several area high schools.
